The CWA Cottage in Halls Gap accommodates up to 8 guests across 4 bedrooms:

  • 1 Queen bedroom

  • 1 Double bed with an additional bunk bed

  • 1 Twin room (2 single beds)

  • 1 Single room

Please note: Overnight stays are limited to 8 people.
BYO bedding and linen – this includes sheets, doonas or blankets, pillows, towels, tea towels, and bathmats. Some beds have electric blankets; all have mattress protectors and a coverlet.

Location & Amneminites

The cottage is located on the main street of Halls Gap, close to the town centre.

Originally purchased in 1948 by the Central Wimmera Mallee group, the cottage was intended as a peaceful retreat for its members—and still offers that same serene charm today.

You’ll often spot a family of kangaroos in the backyard, enjoying the tranquil setting.

Heating & Cooling

  • Wood fire in kitchen (BYO wood or buy at service station)

  • Split system in lounge (heating and cooling)

Amenities

  • TV & DVD player

  • Full kitchen

  • Laundry

  • Updated bathroom

  • 2 toilets

Rates, Booking & Check-in Info

  • Tariff: $100 per night (flat rate, not per person)

  • Check-in: 3:00 PM

  • Check-out: 11:00 AM

  • Deposit: One night’s booking fee required at time of booking
    (Bank details provided when you call to book)

Housekeeping

The CWA Central Wimmera Mallee Cottage backs onto Stony creek and is a short walk from the town centre which has a supermarket, ice cream shop, cafes, swimming pool, service station, restaurants and brewery and a short drive to the Halls Gap Zoo.

We ask visitors to please clean the cottage before you leave.  The cottage is run by volunteers, and we hope you respect the facilities. Any problems please contact the Cottage Booking officer on:
